This is hands-down the best crib mattress out there. We purchased a well-reviewed spring mattress for our little one, and when it came, I just felt uncomfortable with how much my baby sank into that mattress when we laid him on it. Then a friend recommended the Moonlight Slumber, and I can't say enough good things about it. The foam is soft, but a great firmness for a newborn. If you are concerned about the expense, don't be. It will more than pay for itself in giving you worry-free nights of sleep (especially if you're a first-time parent), and it is one of the few products for baby that you use every day, multiple times a day.
