It took less than an hour to assemble using very clear graphical directions. When he saw that it was finished he let out an ooooh!, climbed in with book and blanket and grinned from ear to ear. All the pieces fit together well. The paint was detailed. Even the screwheads were painted the same color as the pieces they were holding together! The wood seems solid. Very easy for him to climb in and out of. "Spoiler" on back of the car can hold stuffed buddies or small lamp. Front "bumper" also makes a convenient shelf. Crib mattress fit snugly, but loose enough to make the bed easily. Certainly seems sturdier than the plastic toddler beds we looked at and priced very reasonably.
